Good afternoon I need your help and advice...
We bought a house in June last year.
I checked the property in December last year but the name is still under previous owners, nothing changed.
I asked LR if there are any active application and their reply is "No live applications on our property".
Then we emailed to our solicitor in early Jan when the application was sent to LR and we got their reply in Mid Feb they said they will have a call to LR for the update. My husband asked for update in March but they are not replying any emails.
I asked LR again last week and they replied there are no live applications.
As they're not replying anything and not answering us when they sent the application to Land Registry I'm going to raise a formal complaint to the Law Society.
But for changing the ownerships of the property, please advise what I should do?
Many thanks in advanced

You will need to go through the firm's complaints procedure first. Have you started that?0

First step, put something in writing to your solicitor asking them to confirm the precise post completion timeline - as a rule most post completions teams want to get both the SDLT submission and the registration application made within a few days of completion - there can be bit of a delay on the registration while documents are sent across, but rarely anything significant.
Be clear that you are following up previous enquiries that were made, and that the matter needs urgent attention to avoid a complaint being made...
