I am cancelling Virgin Media broadband and getting Sky FTTP broadband.
Can I just change the Sky SSID and password to what I presently have for Virgin Media or would it be better to change the 10 or so devices I have to Sky's SSID and password?

Yes you can able to change the SSID and password in a new router to whatever the old router had so everything just connects automatically. There is no benefit to using whatever the default SSID and password is (well as long as your custom password is half decent). I came up with my own SSID and password years ago and have used it ever since no matter what router I have been using.0

I used to have this issue and always changed the router SSID and password to the same as the old router so save problems later (have 30+ connected devices). However nowadays I disable the WiFi on the router as I use a 3 device WiFi mesh and all I have to do is plug it into one of the ethernet ports on the router,0

Easy enough, the log in to the admin page may not be the same with each router, the details will be printed on the router body or a pull out card along with the admin password which is different to the WiFi details.0

I've just done it. It's very easy. Assuming you're getting the White Sky max hub ( which they seem to be giving out as standard these days) . The hub details are accessed via the "my sky " app. There's very little you can alter these days ( not like the old router accessed on a webpage) but you can see and alter the SSID and Password. I just changed them to my existing details . In fact sky do actually suggest that you change them as soon as your neww BB goes live.0
