Heathrow Terminal 2 Drop Off Penalty Charge

Hi Everyone,
I was the driver on the day and my wife is Registered Keeper. I forgot to pay £6 Drop Off Charge after dropping off my brother. I did not see any payment machine to pay charge but later realised that it’s only pay by phone and online option. I did not see any terms and conditions of parking at Drop Off location.
I have received Parking Charge Notice of £40 if paid within 14 days so should I appeal or pay? Please advise….

see other heathrow cases, number one on the importance list is to never identify the driver.
