I would talk again to your pension provider about the possibility of deferring the pension further until you reach your State Pension Age, they may be willing to do so.After all when most of these pensions now falling due to commence were written the SPA was 'set in stone' as 65, and was always going to be 65, not even the lawyers expected that to ever change.
If they had for one second thought that it could change then they would have written "State Pension Age" on the pension policy rather than writing a set number, (and I believe that is how new occupational/private policy's are now written).2 -

I can certainly ask.
Although, can't help thinking, how I wish the SPA was still the original age... As I'd be safely over that goalpost now. Which would've been a great relief to me.
Just imagine, no more stress of jumping through hoops, assessments, commitments etc. Bliss.
But, unfortunately that goal post just keeps moving..
