If new-style ESA is not affected by savings, will the DWP request bank statements at any point?
I’ve seen people on UC being asked to provide statements, I’m wondering if this is the case for new-style ESA. Thanks

No, as capital for NS doesn't matter.mercibeaucoup said:If new-style ESA is not affected by savings, will the DWP request bank statements at any point?

I didnt have to give my bank statements to them when i claimed it. Like the OP said, Its not means tested.Current debt approximately 5000
Goal- Zero debt by mid 2025
Savings in 2026- an emergency fund of 50000 -
The only reason I can think of where they might request bank statements is to confirm pension income. That can affect ESA.2

Only anything means tested should trigger it.0
