• This Prize Draw is open to persons aged 18 years or over who are UK or Irish residents only. Proof of age and identity may be required. Entry to the Prize Draw is free.
• The Promoter is Attheraces Limited, a company incorporated in England with company number 03896585, whose registered office is at Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP.
• Employees of the Promoter, Chester Racecourse Ltd, The Holiday Inn Express (Chester Racecourse) and Commonhall Social are not eligible to enter the Prize Draw.
• Only one (1) entry per email address and no more than four (4) entries per household are permitted. If the Promoter has reasonable grounds to believe that multiple entries have been made by the same person, all entries by such entrant will be disqualified from participating in the Prize Draw or receiving any prize.
• Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and agreed to be bound by them when entering this Prize Draw. These terms and conditions will apply for the duration of the Prize Draw.
• The Promoter will use each entrant’s personal details for the purpose of administering this Prize Draw and will make the winner’s details available to Chester Racecourse, The Holiday Inn Express (Chester Racecourse) and Commonhall Social for the fulfilment of the prize.
• To take part in the Prize Draw, an entrant must opt into the Prize Draw by ticking the “yes” tick box on www.attheraces.com and submit their name and email address between 12:00pm GMT on 17 March 2025 and 11:00pm BST on 13 April 2025.
• The prize winner will be determined at random from all valid entries submitted before the closing date and time.
• The prize comprises a day’s racing for the winner and a guest (all aged 18 years or over) on Wednesday 7 May 2025 (Trials Day) at Chester’s Boodles May Festival, an overnight stay for 2 at The Holiday Inn Express at Chester Racecourse on Wednesday 7 May 2025 and a meal for 2 at Commonhall Social (with a bar tab up to the value of £100). The day’s racing includes hospitality in The Clubhouse (inclusive of all food and beverages from the curated drinks menu). The prize does not include travel/transportation, souvenirs, gratuities, additional excursions and attractions or any other costs or expenses (including spending money) that are not explicitly set out in these terms and conditions.
• There is no cash alternative to the prize and unless agreed otherwise in writing the prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-endorsable. All components of the prize must be taken together.
• The winner will be notified by email. It is each entrant’s sole responsibility to ensure that their contact details are up to date. The Winner will be required to verify their age, identity, residence and other requested verification information to the satisfaction of the Promoter before they are eligible to receive a prize. Any public announcement (including on ATR platforms (TV, online etc.)) will be pending verification unless otherwise stated and should not be considered final confirmation.
• If any entrant is not able, for whatever reason, to accept a prize, verify their identity to the satisfaction of the Promoter, has been found to have breached these terms and conditions by the Promoter or cannot be contacted within 48 hours of determination of the winner and/or confirm their ability to use the prize within 48 hours of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that entrant (and their eligibility to receive any prize under the Prize Draw) and award the prize to another participant, if applicable.
• The Promoter reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Prize Draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The Promoter further reserves the right at its discretion to substitute the prize with another prize in the event the original prize offered is not available but shall be under no obligation to do so. The decision of the Promoter in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
• Entry into the Prize Draw constitutes permission for the Promoter to use the names and photographs of participants for publicity purposes at their discretion. The winner may be required to participate in such publicity without further compensation as the Promoter reasonably requires.
• The Promoter shall not be responsible for lost or misdirected messages, unavailable network connections, failed incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, online failures, hardware, software or other communications failures or circumstances affecting receipt or entrants ability to participate in the Prize Draw or if any racing or any other event applicable to the Prize Draw is cancelled for any reason or any circumstances affecting a winner’s ability to access or use their prize. The Promoter is also not responsible for any act or default of any third party suppliers or for any reasons of Force Majeure.*
• Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence or in respect of fraud and so far as is permitted by law, neither the Promoter nor any of its directors, employees or other representatives (nor the directors, employees or other representatives of its agents, sub-contractors or group companies) will be liable for damages, in contract, tort or otherwise including negligence, arising out of or in connection with the Prize Draw and/or the provision of the prize. You confirm that the Promoter shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to, suspension of or discontinuance of any or all of the Prize Draw. This is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.
• If any provision or part-provision of these terms and conditions are or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this clause shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these terms and conditions.
• The prize winner and his/her/their prize companions must comply with the terms and conditions of Chester Racecourse, including the dress code for The Clubhouse. The prize winner his/her/their prize companions must also comply with all health and safety guidelines and instructions and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements required by the venues hosting the prizes, including but not limited to public health protocols.
• The Promoter’s decision is final and legally binding on all entrants in relation to all aspects of the Prize Draw including (without limitation) allocation of the prize and no correspondence will be entered into. Entries that do not comply in full with the Prize Draw’s rules or terms and conditions will be disqualified and will not be eligible to receive a prize.
• The Prize Draw is governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

(*Force Majeure" means: a fire, flood, lightning, storm, earthquake or other similar geological or metrological event or condition or Act of God, national emergency, disease, epidemic, pandemic, war, act of terrorism, riot or criminal act or damage, strike, lockout or other industrial action or any other event beyond the control of the Promoter, its group companies and/or Chester Racecourse and/or The Holiday Inn Express (Chester Racecourse)).
