Good morning Gers, thanks for starting.
It's fine here with a light frost. Yesterday was a nice sunny day, spoiled by a cold wind.
I'm going to the Book Club in the library this morning - I don't particularly want to go if I'm honest, don't know why. I'll go though, it's a comparatively short session.
Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of anyone who is sad or poorly
Take care folks.13 -
Morning allA bit chilly and misty this morning. Promised some sun later.DH gone home to go to work so it's only me and the menagerie for the rest of the week. Nothing planned for today apart from keeping the animals fed, watered and amused.Hope everyone has a good day x11

Morning all
Lovely and sunny here but still that sharp wind which makes the evenings and mornings very chilly.
Rob coming this morning and I need to nip out for a bit of shopping and then we will meet out friends for a walk around a local harbour and then a picnic lunch and a cup of tea in the cafe there should be a nice day especially if the wind drops a bit.
Dinner tonight is cottage pie with veg I made it yesterday and cooked the carrots so it will just need heating through when I get in, I have put a wash on which can be hung out before I go to work.
We got all the cushion covers back on the outside sofa yesterday it looks lovely we just need that wind to drop to be able to enjoy it.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning everyone it’s bright with a frost here this morning I’m off out to meet my friend for a walk and a coffee and a natter and tomorrow a girl I used to work with who moved away not to far but I never see her is coming to see me for a catch up we do still speak on the phone but I’ve never seen her for over a year Chirsca the dry cleaners doesn’t open until later on a morning and closes earlier on a night they also close Wednesday and Saturdays now they have lost a lot of there big customers holiday lets and bed and breakfast’s that came 3 times a week sometimes she tells everybody they are slowing down themselves and just want to tick over she passes me quite often but she never manages to see me as she’s always looking for something in her bag or her pocket but I see him and he goes out of his way to speak definitely don’t miss the place . Ruby I’m still chucking about the shovel that really tickled me I was the only one until I was five then my mam had four in four years she said it took her five years to get over the shock of me and she had us all at home I thought the midwife brought my sisters in her bag. It’s good to hear the little one sounds a lot brighter DP1 . Must dash I want to hang my washing out before I go . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning two. I was overtaken by an unexpected burst of energy and motivation so used it to change the bedding. The old stuff is now swishing around the WM along with a few assorted sundries. I have to leave at 10a.m. for my exercise class and I doubt that I'll get it hung out before then. Mind, the sun doesn't really reach the washing line part of the garden until early afternoon so nothing wasted. The only excitement yesterday was going to the tip and taking a photo of the new meds vending machine, after that the day was slothful. This morning I found two very dead bumblebees on my bathroom floor, I've no idea where they came from as I didn't hear any of the usual annoying buzzing of trapped bees. On Saturday morning I trapped and released one which was behind the net curtain on the bathroom window. Weird. For now, I wish everyone a good, bright, sunny and (fingers crossed) warm day. Hugs to all.12

Morning All
The sun is shining but it's still quite chilly, yesterday was beautiful - I started off digging with a few layers on but ended up with just a t shirt, it was still a bit chilly for shorts until later in the day when I sat out and finished a book I was reading.
Neighbour's garden all dug over with broad beans and onions planted, hopefully they will settle in before they come home with the dog who will probably trample over everything! I ended up watering the garden, all the pots were parched.
Chimney sweep this morning for me and neighbour, I have their key so will let him in once he's done mine then I'm off to Glasgow for a 65th birthday lunch.
Glad you had a good restful holiday Nanny.
Enjoy your walk Ruby.
Hope the book club isn't too bad Scarlet.
I could do with some of your poo for the garden Mehifin.
Hugs to those feeling poorly or struggling. Take care. XX11 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS for kicking off. A light frost for us too but it soon started melting when the sun got on it. And so far there is no sign of the pesky wind that's been stuck hereabouts for the last week.
I'm behind myself this morning as I have been colouring my hair in readiness for the hairdresser tomorrow morning. I couldn't get my usual colour so risked a similar one. It looks a bit dark but when it's dry I'll be able to tell better. It's also dosset box day again. They do roll round quickly. I have a towel and mat wash on the go so that will get pegged out shortly. All thicker stuff but it will probably dry quickly with the sun on it.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Welcome back NAN, I'm glad your break did you some good. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning all, sunny again! woop woop! I had a weekend at the allotment so that's OK for a few days, must get a better mower though. Spent Saturday chatting and making things and moving things and yesterday putting shelves in the shed and organising.. Today is going to be spent in my garden, putting a bench together, figuring out where new beds are going and who to get to get rid of some concrete [path] and add some concrete [ steps]. Also need to get a siphon and handle as the plumber I asked to do it has forgotten me so I'll just do it myself. I did a roast yesterday so the leftovers are another one tonight, easy cooking. There'll be some beef eft over so I'll make polpette tomorrow, and they never last very long.Izzy, that did make me chuckle, about her always having something important to find
camelot, well done for double gardening! Coxy, hope your walk is going well! Chris, a shovel, that made me laugh too. Gers, well done for persevering with the excercise too, I'm very impressed [I am a sloth] and thanks for going out of your way to photogrph the vending machine, such a great idea. Ruby, enjoy your day by the sea, all that salt air must be lovely. TA happy new hair day..Nanny, glad you had a nice time away. mehefin, another one who wouldn't say no to some poo. If you want rid, advertise it on a local gardening group, it'l be gone in no time..ake care all including poodles...

Morning all, bright & sunny again
Thanks for starting Gers.
We are due the carpet fitter for the front room today so lots of hoovering, shifting furniture etc. has been done. DH lifted the old one and cut it into strips and DS2 has taken it to work to put on the skip.I went out early to post a card for one of my old school friends, I suddenly remembered last night that it's the same day as my DB1 on Wednesday. We'll be calling at his later to drop off a bottle of wine/card.DH was playing with his new paint sprayer yesterday to coat the new gate he's made for between us and next door - seems to work well. Once he's finished that the renovation of the bedroom can continue. We have a new bed coming tomorrow for it, dread to think how old the one in there is. Its a king size so we picked a smaller queen size to give a bit more room.Right, better get on with the jobs - hope everyone is feeling ok, I haven't read back yet, but take care all .:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, the sun has got his hat on again, long may it last !
Yesterday I washed and dried everything including our lounge throws and the fleece one we keep in the car for emergencies. I cleaned out our coffee maker which was blinking at me before our hols and decanted a bottle of shampoo into a hand soap dispenser. The shampoo was a XXL one which I couldn't hold and kept dropping it when my hands were wet. I also sorted our holiday stuff and put most of it away, there are a few items still to rehome though.
Today I have been to the surgery for my blood test and I'm hoping the results are ok this time, I really don't want to go into hospital again. I'm now having a nice cuppa before tackling something, I have lots on my to do list but I'm not sure whether to get out in the garden or wash the windows inside first. Anyway for now the wm is on again with a towel wash and I've put in the shower curtains for a freshen up too. It's bin day today but I can't remember if it's green waste or not, I'll have to follow the neighbours lead on that as I can't remember even which round we're on !
Take care all, thanks for the warm welcome back.
nan xx
