Council PCN received. Is their evidence enough ?

Received a PCN on the window for allegedly not registering for a 1 hr free permit in a bay on highstreet. Is the evidence they have presented enough to confirm that the parking was indeed parked near the alleged signs in the alleged bay. I am not sure. Any advice would be highly appreciated.

They don't need any more evidence than this you would have to prove that the vehicle wasn't there but you can't it was. They have your vehicle registration, location, times, vehicle colour, make and model - and your claim to have just not been there, or not parked in contravention, without any supporting evidence, will be dismissed. But FTLA might find you a loophole we tend to major on private parking charges:4

The photo of the car and the sign were taken within 21 seconds of each other so the sign can't be very far away.
The photos show that the car was there for just 3 minutes. You might appeal the PCN on the basis that in that time you were at the pay machine or using your phone to make payment, there doesn't seem to be any evidence that you weren't trying to obtain a valid parking session in those three minutes. However, most people would have obtained the ticket from the pay machine or paid over the phone before realising that they had been ticketed and would have evidence that they were in the process of obtaining the require parking session at the time the ticket was issued. Do you have any such evidence?
FLTA might be able to give you some advice specific to the issue that you seem to have been issued with a PCN for not paying a charge when the charge to be paid was zero. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.4 -
That's not signed as a 'one hour free' bay nor a permit bay.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
