Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
The sun has just popped up, looks like it will be another nice day although yesterday had a very cool wind even though the sun shone all day.
The washing dried really quickly, just the cuffs on the coat were damp. I lit the fire late afternoon as it was chilly.
Lots of seeds sown yesterday and a visit to the little plant nursery - I got some sweet peas as mine didn't survive the winter, herbs for SiL's birthday present but will have to put them in the planter at their house or I'll never lift it into the car. Also bought some compost from them as I would rather support them than the big chains and it tends to be better quality too. A few other plants may have slipped into my basket!
Broad beans and some onions planted at the allotment, will dig over neighbour's garden today, didn't get round to it yesterday.
Sounds like you're busy with paperwork Mehefin, shame you didn't get the internet sorted, hope it's done soon.
Pleased to hear your local road is open Remmie.
Hope your walk is going well Coxy.
You seem busier than when you were working Izzy!
I'm going out this morning to see if I can get a couple of bags of logs to see me through, seems that once the sun shines and plants arrive in shops they do away with logs.
Hope you are all well and have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX

Morning again, the sun is shining, but I hope it's warmer than yesterday.
You're doing well with all that walking Coxy, keep going!
That vending machine for medicines sounds good Gers, I hadn't realised there was such a thing.
Nothing much planned here for today except a quick trip to the supermarket for things I forgot yesterday.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day, take care folks.13 -
Morning all - and thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. It's another chilly morning though it promises much. Yesterday was very bright and sunny without much heat in it. Still time for the electric throw in the evenings. My Saturday wasn't at all productive apart from the keeping me fed and watered. I tied up some loose ends for the financial year end, did a bit of a booboo with last years' ISA, grumbled for a bit and then moved myself on to watching the final two parts of Reacher which I'd forgotten about.Today will be very MSE - no spending at all.Once the medicine vending machine is up and working I'll post a photo of it.Hugs to all and a soothing foot rub to @Coxy.12

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Another beautiful start and looking at the trees all looks calm out there. Yesterday a different story. Talk about the north wind doth blow! Despite the sun shining all day the nithering wind certainly took the edge off any warmth.
I made the promised little jaunt to Ilkley and found M & S really quiet. No doubt it would busy up as the day progressed. I kept to my little list, apart from the pack of Hot Cross Buns that sneaked it's way into my basket.
Today promises to be a day of sloth. I left some chicken defrosting overnight so that will be my lunch. Still to do the veg but I will do double so I have leftovers to warm up tomorrow.
What a brilliant idea your pharmacy has thought up GERS. I think we are all waiting for an update when you have used it. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning everyone
I had little one for a sleepover on Friday night until yesterday teatime so didn't get on yesterday.
We chatted in bed yesterday morning, she told me the whole Easter story - she must have really concentrated as she remembered it all. That moved on to 'if Jesus came back to earth why does no one else?', belly buttons - she thought that the 'cord thing' came out of the mummys' belly button and back into her body somewhere and into the baby...who knows where she got that idea from! And then it was 'granny can you explain to me exactly how a mummy and a daddy make a baby? 'Oh better get up now it's time you were eating your breakfast' was the reply!
We went down to mam and dads as it was mams birthday, she'd had a fall in town on Friday so had a dressing on her head and a big bruise on her chin. A couple had kindly helped her up to our hospital and then stayed to bring her home, she was ok yesterday but sore.
Dad was in a bit of a grump, as we were the third set of visitors and she was getting all the attention!
After lunch I took little one into town to the library and we had a nice hour, including a game of tiddly winks on the floor! We stopped at the fruit stall before catching the bus home and she asked the man if she could buy one red apple to make her tooth fall out - he gave her one for free which delighted her - the very wobbly tooth was still there when she went home though!
This morning I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa and then go for a little bit shopping, my Lidl app has a £5 off voucher and various coupons for 15% off things I bought last week.
The afternoon is my own and will hopefully be a lazy one, though I do have lots of little jobs I could be doing, including decorating an egg for our competition at nursery next week!
Izzy thanks for asking, my knee is still very sore ...I'm trying to rest it as much as I can, just hoping it settles down a bit before I go on holiday.
Hope everyone has a good day today x11 -

Morning everyone it’s bright and less chilly than yesterday we are off to get a couple of plants to replace some that didn’t survive I must only buy a couple although I have seen a couple of gaps Camelot I will blame you if I get led astray and your right about been busy it has taken me a year to settle into retirement in fact I was all ready to look for a job when I seemed to fit into it I didn’t think I would find it as difficult as I did I think a lot was I didn’t know how to slow down and pace myself and I made the decision I was doing things I wanted to do not running around after everyone else . I got all the housework done yesterday did a bit of batch cooking and I forgot to wash the doormat near the front door it gets grubby so it’s now on the line . Right I must dash and not get to carried away with plant’s thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all and thanks for the start off Scarlet. We came back from hols yesterday afternoon where the weather was an overcoat warmer down in Devon, I had to put the heating here on for an hour last night because we felt so cold. It's only 6 degrees now but the sun is shining so the wm is on again, I'll hang the washing outside for a blast in the wind today. I did 2 loads yesterday but some of it hadn't quiet dried so I'll put that out to finish off too. We had a lovely restful time but I'm back on the treadmill tomorrow as I have another early morning blood test booked.
I have lots of tidying away to do today as some of our holiday things were unceremoniously dumped in the spare bedroom yesterday. I was too tired to do it last night and naughtily even ordered a chinese takeaway because I didn't feel like cooking, there's some of it leftover so that's tea sorted for today.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday, hugs to the poorly ones and anyone struggling with daily life.
Take care all

Morning everyone and 'thank you' for starting us off Scarlet.
The sun is shining, but it's still rather chilly out. I need to get in the garden, but I'll wait for it to warm up
Love the idea of a medicine vending machine - thank you for the info @Gers

Morning allA bit of a panic yesterday morning and the fuse box tripped while DH was out walking big dog. DS has electric gates and I had visions of him and the dog having to climb up a ladder! The lights were working but no wifi etc. When he got back the fob opened one gate so he got in and sorted the fuse box out so back to normal again! DS said it had happened once before. We'll take both dogs out for a walk before dinner and then DH will go home mid afternoon. Footie on the laptop this afternoon for me as DS doesn't have that particular channel on his TV just the F1 channel as he's a BIG fan.Looking forward to seeing that medicine dispenser Gers. Izzy have you heard how they're doing without you at that dry cleaners! Probably shut down cos no one will work for them.Take care all and have a good day11
