I take it you don't bother to read the Terms of use before you jump in with both feet :rolleyes:0 -
From t&cs:
"Upon registering for your free trial, your method of payment will be authorised for up to three months of service - or £10.00 to verify your identity, and to protect us from theft and fraud. Some banks or payment card companies may reflect this authorisation against your available balance or credit limit. No actual charges, however, will be made against the card if you cancel and return all games prior to the end of your free trial."0 -
oh so if i cancel will i get it back and the game?0
-
No. It hasnt left your bank, you just got a slow bank0

I think this looks good, thanks OP!
I have only one query... there seems to be a little confusion regarding the length of the trial period. The form you fill in suggests that it is for 30 days, but the terms and conditions that you click to say you've read says 14 days.
Anyone been through the registration and cancellation and can shed any light on this????
Thanks
MrsB.
It's only a game

Edit: I'm not sure about the above, but isn't it the case that as soon as you return a game, a new one is sent out, so it's almost impossible to be in the situation where you have no game at the end of the free trial and therefore it is almost impossible to fulfil the T&Cs for not being charged?Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
cant say much but ive done it with other trials for dvd rental and its easy to quit. stick to 14 days, send the games back in time too ( say 10 days)0

In other words it's not a free game at all - it's free rental of a game. I think this thread should be renamed...

Nope, they just mean those you rent.
The game will be yours to keep0 -
People should read the Terms and Conditions for themselves and not rely on what others say. They are a business out to make money from you. You don't always get a free lunch and really need to understand what you have commited yourself too.0

The DVD rental companies do this as well. When they started, they were too stupid to make it a condition of getting the free DVD that you populated the list of titles you wanted to rent, so it was easy to get the DVD for nothing. They soon got wise to that one!Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0
