My husband is staying do not sign the form.  He says just print name only as thinks these could then copy and use my signature.
    For what purpose?

What use is your signature to anyone?

Its already been said that copy credit agreements are not required to be signed in order to be valid.

There are a lot of paranoid points of view circulating on the internet, best to stick to the common sense approach.
    Thanks

By asking on the lBc form for Cca, do they have to proce this before I do anything else?.

Do I post normal or send recorded/signed for?

Thank you for all your help

Letter received back dated 16th April saying contents noted and requested documentation.  Is there a time limit on this?  How long do they normally take to respond

have sent a barclays cas letter - which is so small wording my whole family stuggle to read!
They've sent statements from Oct 2019 up to April 2020 to which no payments show as being made and just constantly adding interest.
The final statement in Apr shows the full outstanding amount due has been Cr (credited) on this statement and now nothing showing owing. No other statements or paperwork received.
How do i respond to this letter and information they've sent as looking at this no debt owing and no payment ever showing made on these statements

Its showing a zero balance as that`s the point Link purchased the debt, they cleared the amount owed to Barclays, so its no longer owed to Barclays, Link now own your debt as they inherited all rights and privileges on sale of it.

Is there an agreement amongst what they sent you, I can`t read it as its all sideways on?

This will likely proceed to a claim unless you either set up a payment plan, or can find fault with what they sent you.

No credit agreement, just a " barclay cas mart application retrieval account number" sheet which we cannot read properly.  It has applicant details & Application details.  Is that classed as an agreement?
So they've only supplied details from Oct 2919- Apr 2020 and only shows interest being added.  Surely they should send all statements from 2016.  Also not showing when/if I last paid.  Which I know was Jul 2025, I thought they had to provide this.  They have not provided details of my last payment so how do they know it's not statued barred.

Well if I were you I would base my reply on the debt having reached limitation, tell them you believe its statute barred, and see what response that might invoke.

You have absolutely nothing to lose by doing so.

See what others think, but that`s what I'd do.

Can I confirm that statued barred is from last payment date made and not default notice date?  As I've found a letter from Link saying something about limitations act and the default notice date and therefore don't consider the debt statued barred as they are going off the default notice date
I thought and my research is statued barred goes off acknowledgement of debt and from date of last payment.   Is that not correct

Ita 6 years from the default date, and then each time you make a payment or otherwise acknowledge the debt in writing the 6 years restarts.

Oh so you have tried the statute barred approach previously then, you didn`t mention that before.

The cause of action date that is the default date in most cases.

My suggestion was to use that as a bluff, thinking they may not be aware of the last payment you made, as it was omitted from the statement they sent you.
