I'd keep the card open, Barclays often offer me new BT or MT offers that can be used. I got a 2 (maybe 18 months?) year MT offer for 3.3% fee, whack the money in a good interest rate account and you're laughing
I've been offered this in the past too but didn't proceed as I thought 3.3% fee was really high. Is there a way to maximise the offer that I haven't thought off?
Purely down to risk profile, I thought 3.3% was good enough to use, have the money in the Santander Edge earning 6%, as it's over 20 months (I checked) then I get a good whack of interest that covers the fee
Thanks. That's what I was thinking too but so far have tried to use 0% fee cards. But they are in short supply so might take up the BC offer next time!

Keep any BC's you have IMHO. We've acquired 6 between us due to mergers etc over the years. currently you are only allowed 1 so can'y apply for further cards.
the BT offers have been great for us offering up to 2 years IFC at a time.

I'm about to close my Barclaycard (kept it open after a 0% purchase offer but no longer using it). They have never offered me a zero transfer fee as a customer.

I always close my BT cards as soon as the promotional period is over and then open new ones. They do zero fees and don't seem to mind that I keep using them.

I have credit cards used specifically for spending.
