Help with the MSE energy club switch cashback.
I used the MSE energy club to switch to an EON next fixed tariff (EON Next Fixed 16m V1) back in January which came with MSE cashback.
It tracked correctly on the mse site and stated it could see we were in a switch etc and to check back another time for progress on cashback.
Now today when I login to my mse energy club account it treats me almost like I am a new customer with no history? It asks for my address, my current tariff to help with switching etc.
Is there any way i can check what is going on with the cashback?
Thank you

I think the recently updated log-in process is why its asking for your details again, nothing untoward. For questions about your cashback, email the MSE energy club directly. energyclub@moneysavingexpert.com1

I really appreciate that thank you. I'll wait a while longer and send an email if it never arrives

Be cautious about payment of the energy switch cashback. I switched both fuels early October. MSE say wait 3/6 months for cashback. Bank credited with cash for one fuel, nothing received yet for other fuel despite many emails and unfulfilled promises. The amount is only small and its not the money thats the problem, its the failure to deliver.1

An absolute waste of time with Eon, waiting since last May, 11 months gone and the tariff expires in a month's time. I emailed the MSE energy club but of course they can't do anything without Eon co-operating.

Is it really taking up to the full 6 months for MSE to cough up the cashback on E.On switches?

I switched to British Gas in February 2026 and just received an email from Cheap Energy Club today to say my cashback has been paid and should hit my bank account in the next few working days. It's taken the stated 6 months.

£20 cashback received in my bank account today.

I switched in to Eon through MSE and CEC in March. The ad promised £20 cash back 3-6 months. Despite several emails to MSE I'm still waiting. Now they are not responding. True its just £20 but this is annoying. I've made a complaint to ASA.

Am in similar situation and have been chasing them up. They say their team will chase up with Eon. I know it's only £20 for both fuels these days, but I made a note, maybe incorrectly, that it was £40 for both fuels, at that time?

Sorry to hear that Salamat.
I switched on a dual fuel deal too. For me it was a total cash back of £20. I've read that some have been given £10 as only 1 fuel had been confirmed as switched. That wasn't advertised. MSE really need to look into this as its long overdue.
They don't seem to want to talk to me anymore and now I've been told to limit my responses on here by moderator. Obs a sore subject!2
