Push button bathroom door handle?

The bathroom doesn't have a lock so I have been looking for a minimalist version that do not require extra holes in the door frame or the need for a separate sashlock and minimise DIY work.

What are your thoughts and experiences about "push" button door locks - something like this or this. For some reason I cannot find a similar one on the likes of Screwfix, Wickes, etc.

Many thanks in advance!

    1. Have a look at Screwfix Security & Ironmongery, <Door Furniture, <Door Knobs, <Mortice Knob Kits
    2. Not a good idea if you have young children unless the lock has an outside release mechanism.

Thank you. This is exactly what we need but unfortunately, the door knobs doesn't match the style of other door handles that we currently have. Similar to https://www.screwfix.com/p/smith-locke-asker-fire-rated-lever-on-rose-door-handles-pair-satin-chrome/400hy

We don't have young children though!

We have these in our house.  They work great, however we do find visitors don't always understand them.  On occassion people can trigger the lock as they close the door as they leave the room, locking the door with nobody in the room.  The door can be unlocked by prodding something pointy through a hole in the outer handle (doesn't appear on the model you've linked - I guess the rose can be quickly unscrewed to access in that case) - so no big issue.  We simply keep the little allen key that came with the handle on top of the door architrave ready should this happen.

Do you by any chance have a link to the product you use (or whether you got it from)?

We had a similar issue and just replaced the existing latch and knobs with something like this: YALE Bathroom Knob Set Satin Nickel

No new holes in the door, just a few screws to remove and replace.

Thank you! Sadly the door knob you linked is a different design/style - I was hoping for one with a proper door handle.

Mine were supplied by my builder when he installed the doors - which he bought from a local merchants.  I'm fairly certain they're this model though: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Excel-Architectural-3575-PRV-Handles-Polished/dp/B01MZYQGFD (actually the chrome version: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Excel-Architectural-Handles-Privacy-Polished/dp/B00DG460X8).  All our doors have matching handles, with only the bathrooms and downstairs loo having the locking facility.

    Matching standard handles: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Excel-DH3650-Passage-Handles-Polished/dp/B0088V84OC

That's great thanks @ic! I assume you are still happy with it and there are no issues?
