Porch paintwork replacement

My front porch has been neglected for a while (largely by the previous owners) and the layer of paint on the single skin brickwork wall is peeling away and needs to be reinstated.
Talk to me as if I am ten years old. What do I need to do to firstly remove the existing paintwork on the wall and what paint product will be good to apply on the wall again?
You will find some photos below.

Put some sheets or a tarp on the floor, it's going to make a mess
Use a scraper, angle grinder, drill with a brush head, depending what you have to remove everything loose.
Once you've got a sound surface repair anything that needs repairing
Grab a tub of masonry paint, I used Wickes own which has lasted and adhered well so far.
Apply the paint with a brush (cutting in) and rough surface roller, I prefer the 3 or 4 inch ones to the full size.
You'll need probably 3 coats. Multiple sparse coats better than one heavy coat2 -
I can't really add to that.............except it's a boring tedious job so get some music/podcasts on or practise your meditation while doing it.However it's very satisfying when it's doneIs it smooth or rough in the paint? You may have a choice when you look for a tub.Is it white? You may find you need to paint more than the patch because the colour you apply will look fresh and new. Though that doen't have to be done straight away if you're ok with knowing it may have to be a proper full house paint job eventually. If you leave it long enough of course while you save, it may have blended in
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
