Defaults open on credit file

I have two defaults on my credit file from 2017 and 2018 , aren’t these meant to drop off after six years? There is a section in borrowing on the credit file, open and closed, these two defaults are in the open section and I don’t understand why. Currently I cannot challenge this as I cannot match my details so do I have to write to the three agencies to sort this out please?

I don't quite understand what you mean but if you do decide to write to anyone do NOT even suggest that you owed the money and do not offer to pay any of it.
If it was me I think I would not write to anyone at all and just check again in a few months. Unless of course there's a reason why you don't want a creditor to see something?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I applied for a DRO in April 2019. I just checked my credit file and see two open defaults from 2017 and 2018 which haven’t dropped off . I don’t know why. I want to start repairing my file so do I write to the credit agency and ask to have them removed?0

Did you get the DRO, and did it complete?
were these accounts included in the DRO?
