                    Do I have to declare that I have had insurance cancelled due to not being able to keep up with payments when unemployed, when I am in a position to source new insurance.

            Did you cancel it because you couldn't afford it or did you allow them to cancel it for non-payment?
 The former doesnt have to be reported, the later does have to be. Some insurers are more lenient on non-payment cancellations than other reasons but they may then not offer instalments as a consequence.0
