School Library Fine

I work in an academic library and deal with overdue books and non responsive students frequently. The fine is likely to cover part of the cost of replacement and may well be waived or greatly reduced if the books are returned.1

Yes, the library probably just wants the books back and if you return them, there may be a admin fee but the rest will be cancelled.1

Obviously if everyone took a stack of books out from the library when they started and didn't bother returning them until they left, then it would be a pretty empty library and all the other students pay the price.
Of course, on a financial/consumer focused forum like this, you can fully expect the advice to be to wriggle out of any cost where there is potential to do so.Know what you don't3 -
