Hi all,
I have around 500 read messages in gmail that I would like to either download to the computer or forward to another email address. I can't find a way to forward more than one message at once, am I missing an easy way? Another thing I tried was to set up forwarding and then mark all the messages as unread as I thought they would get forwarded as new mail. Sorry I'm confusing myself here! Is there an easy way? Would prefer downloading them onto the computer if possible. Thanks.

You can download messages to your PC as if it was a normal account with Outlook, WIndows Mail etc etc - look at the gmail help files for POP access.0

Or you could create a filter if all the message have something in common to forward to another address and tick the 'apply to messages below' tickbox when creating the filter.0

Robt - have tried that but it does not apply to old mail.
Have also tried setting up outlook to access them but it forwards all the mail I have, probably around 5000 or so messages, I only want the emails from one person.
Thanks again0 -
How about putting all the messages you want to keep with the same label, then accessing yuor gmail in Outlook using IMAP instead of POP. Not entirely sure, but I'm sure you could drag and drop into a local folder doing this?0
