Good morning, seems like a it's going to be another fine day, it's been a lovely week. Chilly though. Dh tells me it's going to snow in the middle of the month!
Not much going on, except meeting a friend. Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Colder this morning but still dry. It's the last day at work for 2 weeks thank goodness, it's been a tough term although yesterday's talent show was very entertaining!
I had a haircut last night so I'm all tidied up but my hair does seem to go into shock for a while and sticks out all over the place! It should settle down in a week or so.
DD and family are going camping tonight fairly local to me so I'll pop up later to see them, not staying long as it'll probably be cold with that wind that's blowing.
Hope you're all well, happy Friday!
Take care. XX13 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Another beautiful day is forecast but still the nippy wind will stick with us. I took a coffee out to the back yesterday but the sitting didn't last long as I was nearly getting blown off the seat!
Friday Tidy today. Such joy. The kitchen and bathroom got a clean yesterday, along with a bit of essential ironing that's been languishing in the basket forever! A dust and vac all around today. The vacuum I ordered duly arrived yesterday afternoon and that's now assembled and waiting to go to the van. Hope it lasts longer than the last one did.
It's DD's birthday today - 52 eek! She has just got home after 2 consecutive long night shifts so not a good start to her birthday.. She is hoping for a sleep once the girls go to school as she has arranged to meet some friends for lunch and then a few drinks afterwards. She is now thinking it's not a good idea.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. YL it's a shame about your hairdresser and I hope she can sort something out. Maybe she could go mobile, keeping all her regular customers. And baby could go with her! Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"15 -
Morning allDS and family are now up in the air on their way to Marrakesh and I'm safely in bed with one dog, one cat and the other dog curled up in his basket.I'll get up in a moment and feed the hoard. One thing I don't have to do is hoover. They've bought themselves a robot hoover that's timed to go off while we're all in bed. Shame it can't climb stairs!Hope everyone has a good day and hope you're daughter enjoys her birthday TA x15

Morning all - thanks for the start @Scarlet. Enjoy your meeting up.Have a great end of term @Camelot.Happy Birthday to your DD @TA.Robot vaccums are brilliant @Chrisca - I have seen a robot mower, looks very spooky!Have a fab walk @Coxy, my fingers are crossed for a dry day.My trip to Glasgow was a complete waste of time. I left here at 6.30a.m. for a 10.00a.m. opticians appointment in the city centre. Most of the drive was effortless and lovely, however once I reached the outskirts of Glasgow the traffic was backed up for at least three miles and wasn't moving. I tried a detour which proved just as blocked so I had to cancel. Grrr. I ended up doing some desultory shopping and drove home again. It was a lovely, bright and sunny day with a chilly wind so that part was enjoyable, until a police car appeared behind me for the final 20 miles or so! Mind you, it must have been worse for the two bikers behind him, especially as they had zoomed past me ages before then had stopped for (I presume) a 'comfort break' as I saw them both at the side of the road. Bet they were gutted.Anyway, made it home fine but could really have done without it all. I've now decided to change optician for somewhere closer, I've cancelled my contact lens contract with them so don't need to go there anymore. The good weather continues, just like @TA I could do without that nippy wind. On Wednesday I hung out washing for the first time in at least five months. Simple joy.Today is open to anything, no idea what yet. Something will grab me eventually.I hope that everyone is doing well, getting better or resting up. Hugs to all.12

Morning everyone
Just a quickie from me as I have a doctors appointment for 9,15, I want to see if I can get something stronger for my knee before I go on holiday and probably need some antibiotics for my chest. I'll go along to mam and dads afterwards I I'm out in time to catch a bus.
Little one managed 3 full days at school this week and went swimming on Wednesday too - she was very proud of herself as she'd put her ' whole head in the water for the first time ever in my life!'
She had an appointment at Newcastle yesterday and has her play therapy at Edinburgh today.
DD had a good shop for her in Primark yesterday, her summer clothes were hardly worn last ear with her being ill all summer, but she's not keen on wearing dresses now as she doesn't want them lifted up to do her tubey. So DD has bought little skirt sets and dresses with buttons up the front...which will be easier and better for little one.
Right I'll have to dash.
Camelot enjoy your last week, we still have a week to go.
Chrisca I'm going to Marrakesh very soon, hope they enjoy it.
Have a good day all x12 -
Morning all and thanks to @Scarlet for starting us off. Another sunny day beckons with temperatures potentially up to 17 deg here, although it never quite gets up to what we're promised because of that breeze. It's dry though and far, far better than wet, dull and grey!
Friday again, where has the week gone? Upstairs had a dust and vac yesterday, I'll give downstairs a turn today along with the usual Friday admin stuff. One ring binder of papers emptied, two to go. I've made a decision on the paint colour (Biscuit, a warm toned cream) so this weekend's task is to order the decorating supplies. That plan may well be put on the back burner though in favour of looking for a new WM. It decided to play up yesterday and was beeping halfway through the cycle instead of at the end, plus it seemed to take longer than usual or was that just my imagination? I'll soon find out today when I turn it on.
@TA - Happy birthday to your DD. Going mobile might be a thought for the hairdresser if all else fails - good suggestion.
@Coxy - Enjoy Devon. It might be damp but I'm still envious, I love it there.
@Izzy - Please give yourself a restful weekend after such a busy week.
@SO - Glad to hear you're keeping up with the walks.
@Gers - So sorry to hear your Glasgow trip didn't work out, I hope you manage to find an optician nearer to home.
@dp1 - Fingers crossed the doc can sort you out.
Right, time to make a move so I'll wish you all a good end of week today and an enjoyable weekend to come. Take care, hugs if needed or wanted. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.12 -
Hi everyone,
I'm feeling a bit jaded today. We had Nate all day yesterday and did quite a bit of running around and on top of that we stayed up late watching the last episode of the Slow Horses series we were watching. Highly recommended if you've got Apple tv.
Brian has gone to Georgia (the country) for work so Laura has planned a few activities for the weekend. I don't know if they've said that they have completed on a house in Bristol so they will be moving over the summer. We'll miss them a lot but will try to get down to see them as much as possible.
Gers, how annoying, I don't blame you for changing.
dp1, enjoy Marrakech, I heard the other day that it's now a clubbing destination like Ibiza - I hope your knee holds out.
Ruby, was Rob less challenging after your words with him?
Have a good day.10
