Cabin Crew Uniform Tax Back?

I have just found out about the £720 back in tax for cabin crew. I’d heard about it before but if I’m honest I didn’t really pay much attention. Then I saw the Covid tax back post on MSE which led me onto the uniform post.
Can someone explain this to me? I’ve been working for BA for almost 3 years - but 3 tax years - I’ve filled out the form online to claim the flat rate back of £720.
But I’m confused - does that mean my tax gets 20% of 3 years of £720? Or I get the actual money back?
And is there any restriction on the number of flights you take? As I don’t fly full time. As normal the HMRC site isn’t clear.

Thanks!

You will be entitled to receive £720 at your marginal rate of tax.In other words, £144 if a 20% taxpayer or £288 if you have paid 40% tax on at least £720 of your earnings. No restriction either with regard to how frequently you work - if required to clean or launder the uniform you are entitled to the relief.0
