Will partial settlement appear on credit file 9 years after default?

Hi all.
Sorry if this has been asked before. Google search is conflicting.
Stepchange, Experian not been very helpful.
So; I’ve been on a DMP (debt management plan) for 9 years, yes 9 years. I choose that route for various reasons. The DMP is with step change.
Anyway: one of debts is still at around £7k (I only owe £8k total now, was £50k! To start)
this debt was defaulted when I went to the DMP 9 years ago. None of the debts on my DMP appear on my credit file (I believe it’s because it’s over 6 years old and has dropped off)
I want to make an offer to partially settle direct with the company, the debt is with (Cabot) I want to know if they can (legally) add this to my credit file again as partially settled?

Despite me explaining the above:
Stepchange said ask one of the credit agencies as it can show as partially settled, so I asked Experian.
Experian said ask the debtor but it can show partially settled.
I asked Cabot they said as over 9 years they wouldn’t add to credit file.
So, with conflicting info I wondered if anyone knew for sure?
I have email evidence from Cabot so if they did add it I could dispute it I suppose.

No
Stepchange are wrong, Experian are wrong.
A debt drops off 6 years after default and that's it.
It could reappear as a ccj but not in this case1 -
Definitely won't show up if the debts have already dropped off. We have done this, so I can confirm it. And don't think 9 years is bad, we have been on ours ( now self managed ), for 10 years.Making the debt go down and savings go up
