New style ESA - in-person health assessment

Options
Has anyone been asked to attend an in person health assessment after submitting an ESA50 form. If so, what is involved/what should I expect?

Depending on your circumstances and health issues the information you submitted they'll workout if they need any further information.  Some people they do it via the paperwork sometimes they may phone occasionally they'll ask you to attend a face to face.

But if you've only just submitted your ESA 50 you Will probably won't hear anything back for months it's currently backlogged.

Most are done by phone call at the moment. But If your local assessment centre has face to face available at time of booking, they will arrange it that way.

These appointments last between 40 minutes and 90 minutes depending on how complex. And they are normally a large number of questions about health and the barriers faced when completing a range of normal daily activities.

As already advised, it will be about 3 months or so before the assessment.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

If you've had a PIP assessment it's a bit like that, but with questions related to the ESA activities rather than PIP activities.  There's some overlap of course and they'll ask you about your medical history, work history (tell them EVERYthing that you tried at work to keep going, why it didn't help enough and why you had to leave because of your health) and daily life now.
