Morning allJust. back from shopping for bits and bobs to take with me tonight when I go to my DS@-taff The loaf had been in the breadmaker for about 2 hours and when I opened it, it looked exactly the same as when I put it in so I had to throw it all away. Such a waste!Breakfast in bed with 2 dogs and a cat tomorrow morningHave a good day all x9

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x Enjoy your day out.
We are leaving for Devon after lunch. DH will drive DSis and I and will be our support over the next two weeks as we complete our JoGLE hike. Starting tomorrow morning from Tiverton Parkway station which is where we left off in August. We have self-catered cottages this time so are able to take more things as we'll only be carrying a day sack rather than everything we own!! I've cleaned the bathrooms, done a towel wash and stripped the bed for DS2 who will be staying with DD.
Well done @silver-oldie on the arch assembly and hope you enjoy your walk x
Good to set boundaries @RedRuby1231 Rob sounds so mild mannered it's a shame if he's led astray.
Enjoy your day in Rye @carolbee - I love Rye!
Have good days everyone

Back from the hairdresser and looking respectable again. Sadly, I may be looking for a new hairdresser soon. She owns her business but not the property; the property owner died recently and his executor won't renew her lease as he wants to sell up. She originally looked into getting a loan to buy it but has scotched that idea as she's just found out she's pregnant, baby due in September. Plan B is to rent a chair at another salon, not too far away but perhaps a bit too far for me. Poor girl, she's worked so hard to recoup what she spent on buying the business from her aunt after she retired.
@Chrisca - Oh dear, I'm so sorry your loaf didn't turn out as it should. Such a disappointment - it sounded lovely too.
@remmie - I think it's because none of us likes to think about our own mortality and it's not going to happen just yet, perhaps more so men than women. We'd had our Wills drawn up and completed only a month before DH passed away, thank goodness we had otherwise it would have been a lot more complicated for me. We had at least discussed our wishes so I knew what he wanted funeral-wise - another reason why I've arranged mine now and have told DS what I've done.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7
