That is a classic 'high resistance' connection symptom. Ie, when you power up the appliance, the display comes on as normal as there is no great load on the supply - just the electronics and display. The 'bad connection' is still able to supply this. However, once you apply a large power load by beginning the drying cycle, this bad connection arcs and goes 'high' resistance, and power is lost.
This bad connection could be anywhere. It could be at a simple spade terminal connection, or - more likely, I think - in a component on the PCB, most likely a relay.
You seem competent in the use of a multimeter, having been able to test what I presume are the filter caps on the mains inlet? And without giving yourself a shock? Cool. I suggest it's a case of tracing the incoming mains cable, and checking every spade connection you can find for signs of scorching, arcing, or overheating. Give them all a good wobble and check they are tight and clean.
At some point you are going to get to the control panel (just looked again at your vid - the PCB should be easily accessible), and that will obviously involve an increased degree of complexity, although most are now designed to be easily removable. Check all the multiway connectors to the board(s) as before, take lots of photos of how the wires are routed and connect to it, and remove the PCB for examination.
Do you know what to look for on the PCB?

Could it be the carbon brushes on the motor?

Many thanks for the advice, i checked over the wiring and PCB but couldn’t see any obvious issue. In all honesty i think it’s time has come to be replaced sadly

    Fair do's.
If you want to post clear pics of both sides of the PCB, we can have a look for anything obvious, but your call.
