I'm looking for a new fitness tracker, I currently have a Honor band 5 which is fine for my needs, it's just not holding it's charge for very long.
Ideally I'd like one with built in GPS, a round or square face, track my steps and be able to monitor different workouts, as I like to walk, HIIT and do weights.
Budget is around £70.

How long a charge would be acceptable to you?
For example, I use a Galaxy Watch 6 Classic (though not just for activity, it's my go-to watch with a metal strap) and I basically get a full day out of it (charge it every night). To some that's fine, others insist they need multiple days worth of battery life - in which case you'd want to look at something more dedicated, like a Garmin.

If you want a watch that's lasting at least several days between charges, I think the Garmin's are usually recommended, though I've never had one.Know what you don't0 -
I'd second the Garmin options, though they may stretch the budget. We have variously found good prices at John Lewis if choosing the under the counter open box devices (in store only and available selection varies rapidly).
For GPS on a Garmin, you need to check it has inbuilt GPS and not "connected GPS" which is the case for some of their lower cost models. (Connected GPS the watch takes the signal from the phone.)
My wife and I have had several Garmin fitness trackers and been happy with them.
My current preferred device is the Vivoactive 3 and I really like it. Purchased at the start of COVID and the battery still lasts 3 or 4 days in normal use but extended exercise can see the battery expire quickly from fully charged to close to zero in a 2 hour run. The battery will self recover once I slow down.
I also have a Vivosmart 5, which is a more budget device and I generally don't pick for proper exercise but it is good for general use, very discreet to wear. Battery life is 4 - 5 days at a couple of years old. Purchased at £45 in JL.
We previously had FitBit devices and they were not a patch on the Garmins.0
