    OK Put the mortgage right to the back of your mind until autumn 2028. Then you should be able to get a new deal from Halifax.

    How's it going? If the whole kit and caboodle is too much right now, do the first step of setting up the basic account.

    Second step will be transferring your income to go into that.

    Third step will be transferring essential priority payments to that: Which bills to pay first – Making Money Count

    Hi, just a short message. I have 2 kids and have been in a cycle of debt the entire time I've been a parent, they don't really know and have never gone without. I don't have any savings or assets for them but that's not the worse thing in the world someone has ever done. We have holidays, presents, nice days out, they are clothed, fed, warm and loved and supported. You let the CC companies down, not the kids, and who cares about the CC companies?

    The best thing you can do for your kids is show them how to respond to mistakes (treat yourself and others with kindness and understanding that people aren't perfect) and teach them finance management (once you are on top of it)
