My Experia just keeps stopping and starting. I've tried holding power and volume, it doesn't work.

Looked for Xperia companion. Where can I download it to my pc please?

First step I would do is go into safe mode to see if you have a rogue app. Instructions for entering safe mode vary and you don't state which model you have. Google the model number and safe mode.

Thanks for that. The linked page require the phone to be switched off. The phone is in a continuous loop and accepts nothing.

I'm disappointed with Sony as I thought that by connecting to the page it would have analysed the phone and given a solution.

I've found another old phone to replace the problem one. I use it as the camera for the Alfredcamera app.
