Do you mean its not repaid in full or that its still registered as a charge? Are you in Scotland?

"The papers" might not disclose the full story, have you checked the registers?

Hi the property is in Scotland and mortgage was repaid i have a letter from bank dated 2023 suggesting their be security removed and returning
the to us deeds from their deedstore account. My mother never got this done. the property is on the old General Register of Sasines so I do not have a title number. do I need to have property discharged before applying for the Confirmation. We do not intend to sell it.
Also is it enough to just put the address and value of the property in the inventory or do you need title no

Discharge of Sasine standard security is a bit more fiddly than the potentially electronic option for Land Register securities, you might be better to get a solicitor to do it if drafting the deed is beyond you.

No need for discharge before you apply for Confirmation.

Don't need title details in inventory.
