Error on HMRC personal account for tax paid 23/24

Hi - has anyone noticed that when they log into their HMRC personal account it says that not enough tax has been paid for the year 23/24 even though for the last few months it said that the correct amount of tax had been paid? The next page says 'There is a problem and the amount you owe may not include any recent payments you have made'. Does anyone know if this is a known fault and should I just ignore it? Thank you.

Hi - That's odd that I can see 23/24 and you can't I did contact HMRC on webchat and they are aware of the problem and said that 'the glitch' should be fixed. They confirmed that I don't owe any tax for 23//24.Bigwheels1111 said:23/24 does not exist for me.
Also on the HMRC community forum page for Personal Tax this issue was raised and they said "We are currently updating certain online payment functions for the start of the tax year, so this can affect customers trying to make payments at this time, if you try again after the 7th April 2025 you should be able to successfully pay online."0 -
Hi Pdman - Don't worry as you can see from my comment having contacted HMRC that this is a known glitch and will be fixed by 7 April.Pdman said:

Yes I have same issue. Owed them £167.00 from savings tax due for 2023 - 2024 year and paid it in Dec 2024. Got email receipt was paid and the HMRC website was updated about a week later. Noticed this week however that for 2023 - 2024 they claim I owe £167.00 again. Spoke to an agent who confirmed they had received the payment in Dec 2024 but was unsure why was re-showing again. Glad to note should be sorted soon as highlighted above.1

As you have filed a Self Assessment return for 2023-24 why would you expect a PAYE result?Bigwheels1111 said:23/24 does not exist for me.

I have had said box updated every year for the past 10 years.Only getting carers allowance. Same as last year and some interest. So i thought it would update as usual.0 -
How many of those previous 10 years (2022-23 and earlier) have you filed a Self Assessment return for?Bigwheels1111 said:Dazed_and_C0nfused said:
