@Chrisca - Just seen your post re leaving paddle out of the BM - I won't laugh, honest - I've done that before now on more than one occasion. Brain fog has a lot to answer for!If it was just a plain loaf I'd have shrugged but I was grating cheese and frying bacon at 6ish this morning so am annoyed at the waste!! Never mind I'll make another one when I'm back from my DS's lol. It's my own fault for doing it while, probably, still half asleep! lol

When I got back home I tackled a important task from the To Do list - arranging and paying for my funeral. I'm not getting any younger and I want my affairs in order before I pop off - not that I'm planning to, any time soon! So, that's funeral, Will and much decluttering dealt with, and the Life Book of other information that DS will need is making progress. POA next and then I'm done. None of this is a very cheerful subject, I know, but somehow it's a comforting thought to know it's done.I did all that in 2023 and feel so much better knowing it's all in place. I also did what's called 'Advance Directive' , not legally binding in Scotland (is in England) but is extremely persuasive when in place. It all saves those dealing with death having to make difficult decisions. I'm vocal with family and friends about the need to sort things out beforehand, sometimes too vocal! My slumping will cease shortly, honestly.9 -
Afternoon all,I've been out with my cousins for lunch, 2 down though, one with a bad back and car trouble with the other. Nice to catch up with the others though, we haven't met since X mas. Had a lovely walk throught the park afterwards but we've still got that wind as well TA.DH and I have just got rid of 4 bags to the hospice shop, but we have to take 2 tall stools to their bigger store, we'll leave going to the tip until tomorrow.DGS not back at school with his tooth infection so no pick up from there.Tea is some chicken breasts from the butchers pack, in black garlic and soy marinade, not sure what with yet.Have a pleasant evening all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
