Morning All
Thanks for the start Ruby.
Bright and dry again, some throws from the living room are on the line, I brought my school fleece and coat home yesterday and washed them, the fleece was dry in an hour and the coat just needed to air off by the fire - it got a bit chilly last night.
More seeds sown last night, really need to put the broad beans in at the allotment but will have to cover them for a week or so, will do that at the weekend.
My brain isn't really in gear yet this morning so hope everyone is well and you have a good day. Hugs to those in need.
Take care. XX14 -
It looks to be a nice day but still chilly in the mornings and evenings, I have Rob coming today and we are off to work in the cafe which we both enjoy.
Yesterday we had a lovely walk in the woods and a picnic overlooking the South Downs, unfortunately Rob took a tumble in the woods 😩 he was ok but had grazed knees so I had to let the house know when I dropped him off, the house have also cut his hair, I told them I have asked permission several times and got no response so the manager said it’s in his best interests to have it cut so she completed the paperwork and got it done, bless her he looks and feels so much better.
Dinner tonight will be an omelette (DP1 I always think of little one now, I’m sure she would tell me off😂) dd and I will have bread and butter and I will do a salad as well for OH we still haven’t found a decent GF bread.
Washing on the go and I will hang it out before work as it’s quite a blowy day.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning! Off to docs in a minute but this is for you Ruby, I think you'll have to try making your own because I've only tasted one that was passable and that was 4 quid a loaf!

Morning allSunny with a lovely blue sky out there but meant to be very windy again today so will happily battle with that as I have a load of washing to put out!Housework to do today and then later will start packing a few things away as I'm going to my son's tomorrow night and for the rest of the week menagerie sitting as they're off on a weeks holiday and will be leaving the house at 2am to catch a flight.Set the breadmaker off earlier to make a cheese and bacon loaf so kitchen will smell lovely in a few hours.Hope everyone has a good day x12

Morning folks and thanks RUBY for starting us off. The sun is shining, the sky is blue and forecast to stay all day. It felt very chilly though when I got up so the heating went on to warm the place up a bit.
I met my DF as planned for lunch yesterday and despite the sunshine it felt chilly in that blooming chilly wind that seems to have taken up residence here! It's bus trip day today (aka Skipton Day!) so I am hoping the chilly wind has dropped for our amble round the market stalls before our lunch and a good old natter over our usual bottle of wine, before heading for the bus back home.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning everyone
It was a lovely warm sunny day here yesterday and forecast to be the same today - spent all afternoon out in the garden at nursery.
I went over the road for a natter when I got home from work.
Ruby - yes she would, she told me off for the same thing yesterday when they gave me a lift up the hill after school...'granny I've told you before omelettes are for lunch.
I'm going to Newcastle today as I need some bits for my holidays - it won't do my knee much good but I'll keep stopping for a rest. I'm going on the bus which leaves from the bottom of my road, I've only done it once before as it takes 2 1/2 hours but I'll give it another try as it's free.
I have booked a train coming home as I didn't fancy bussing both ways, but I have podcasts to listen to so hopefully they will help pass the time.
I hope everyone has a good day x12 -
Morning all - a bit of a late start for me today. Thanks @Ruby!The drive home yesterday was fairly leisurely. I dipped into Cranstons food hall in Penrith for a wee browse and buy. Succumbed to sausages and a cheese flan along with some Ayrshire roll bacon. Then I idled my way up the M6 to join the M74 but detoured off to find and drive up the old A74 which wends it way up north. Sometimes it's parallel to the motorway and sometimes it still follows the old line of the road complete with semi-scrubbed out lanes. I wanted to avoid a huge section of roadworks and rejoined at Larkhall. I could recall some of the sights along the old road which seems mostly populated by Network Rail engineers doing 'stuff' to lots of sections of the main west coast line which is very close by, in fact just about a lane width away at many places. All that meandering meant I took a bit longer to drive home, especially as I called into Glasgow to collect an Marks order too. Happily, the horrendous roadworks near to Camelot's place had been removed so all that was smooth. And the drive up was just glorious, wall to wall sunshine and blue skies (though still a bit chilly) and not much traffic on the final 40 miles. The lochs were shimmering and mirror still. Got home, ate some left over Chinese food and slumped!Today I remain slumped. I should put on a washing load to hang out, it's still up for debate.Anyway - I hope that everyone has a lovely sunny day, aches and pains are soothed. Hugs to all.13

Morning all from a bright chill Kent
bit of craft, bit of decluttering today for me
take care all and hope the poodles are okCarolbee9 -
Morning all and thanks to @Ruby for the start. It's another wall to wall sunshine day but still chilly early mornings and later in the evening so the heating remains on for a couple of hours each day. During the day though it's very pleasant and I have some washing to go out soon when the WM has finished.
I didn't cook the gammon yesterday (again) but that was because, once I'd finished fitting everything else in the freezer, there wouldn't be room for the cooked slices. Instead it's parked in the fridge for next week (it has a good long date on it) to give me chance to make some room. This shopping and cooking for one malarkey is taking some getting used to, not helped by having a smaller fridge/freezer than before. On the plus side, I'll not starve!
I had a parcel delivery yesterday and, once that had arrived, went out for a short walk. There are more blossom trees starting to bloom and for once it looks as if the weather will be kind - normally the wind and rain arrives just as they're at their best and knocks the flowers off the trees. There were quite a few large bees bumbling around too.
When I got back home I tackled a important task from the To Do list - arranging and paying for my funeral. I'm not getting any younger and I want my affairs in order before I pop off - not that I'm planning to, any time soon! So, that's funeral, Will and much decluttering dealt with, and the Life Book of other information that DS will need is making progress. POA next and then I'm done. None of this is a very cheerful subject, I know, but somehow it's a comforting thought to know it's done.
Today I'll do the usual weekly Co-op trip and drop by the Little Free Library to return a book that isn't floating my boat. One item out of the freezer - corned beef hash - that's for tonight's tea with green beans and mash.
Right, the WM has done its stuff so out the laundry goes. Enjoy your day whatever you have planned and take care, especially those with various aches, pains and hospital appointments. X
@Chrisca - Just seen your post re leaving paddle out of the BM - I won't laugh, honest - I've done that before now on more than one occasion. Brain fog has a lot to answer for!Be kind to others and to yourself too.9
