Britannia Parking

I have received a parking charge from Britannia Parking for over staying at a supermarket in Leeds. The letter doesn't tell me how long I have overstayed, just what time I went in to the car park and what time I left.
The thing is I went in with my disabled mother, who hasn't been out of the house shopping for nearly a year and is on oxygen. By the time she had something to eat and then enjoyed a walk round (her words were she felt like a kid in a candy shop). I was probably too stressed to even look at notices (if there were any). I am going to appeal this, but does anyone have any ideas on the best way to go about this or possible outcomes? Thank you.

Start with plan A in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, by complaining about it to the business or landowner ASAP, mention the Equality Act 2010 and the aspect of reasonable adjustment like more time required than able bodied customers etc, insisting on a quick cancellation3

Thank you, will do that today.1

Just wanted to come back on and say thank you, I got confirmation that the ticket has been cancelled.4

Retailer said they couldn't do anything. Messaged Brittania, quotiing Equity Act etc, they replied back with a two page letter, more or less stating it was two hours parking with 10 mins extra! but on this occasion they would cancel it.2

You can and should always ask for extra parking time on the day, at supermarket CS desks when shopping with a disabled person.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
