So it wasn't just me, then.  I've had that with a few posts over recent weeks.

I think these start tomorrow except for Sainsburys that starts on Wednesday and Morrisons that should be available now with a More Card

I think the Morrisons 8p veggies start Monday 14 April - You need to have a MORE card to get them (photo below appears on My Offers section of Morrisons More website).
The ALDI & Lidl offers are featured in their weekly leaflets (can be downloaded as pdf from websites) and start Tuesday 15 April.
I suspect all the supermarkets will decrease their prices to 8p to be competitive - as happened before last Christmas.

    ALDI

    Lidl

    Morrisons

    Hey, I just worked out.........
5000 Morrisons MORE points gives you a Fiver voucher off your shopping.
    So 500 points = 50p; 50 points = 5p; 5 points = 0.5p.
5 points are awarded for every item you purchase, which is a halfpenny off.
So you're actually only paying 7.5p for the veggies !!!

I’ve just seen on Hot Deals Lidl carrots are 8p per kilo so they may be price matching.

Bought the 8p swede, carrots and parsnips from Morrisons yesterday. 72 p worth.

All were fine. They were a bit sweaty in the plastic so dried them off overnight and they are in a cardboard box in the garage.

Any we don't use over the weekend will be peeled, sliced, parboiled and frozen within the week.

I don't know what the problem is with carrots recently, I had 4 bags delivered by Morrisons on the weekend one went in the freezer straightaway and two went straight in the fridge. The last bag I left out to use the following day and they had already started to go soft on the ends.
I always take them out of the bags straightaway to stop them sweating in the bag.
