Section 22 - Housing Association asking for invoice pack req payment

Hi, I have this month asked my housing association for the years invoice pack, as we regularly get invoiced for items / jobs that have not been undertaken or do not relate to where I live. However this year they have just advised that they can no longer supply an emailed copy of the pack & that if i want this I need to pay £50 to £80 for it ? Under Section 22 can they charge an amount for packs ? They also advise that the alternative is to come to their office to view the invoice pack which i deem to be slightly intimidating as i will not be able to scrutinise under such a time limit. Help on if they are able to charge for these packs would be gratefully received

So I guess that you are a leaseholder and that the Housing Association are the management company and you want to see the invoices that make up the service charge.
As you say, section 22 of the Landlord and Tenant Act gives you this right.- But the act doesn't require them to send you an emailed copy. It only requires them to make facilities available for inspecting them free of charge (for example, their office).
- But they must make facilities available for you to take copies - for a fee.
So the bottom line is they don't have to send you emailed copies, but if they choose to, they can charge you a fee.
Here's the text from the act:
