Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers. Yesterday's promised sun was very tardy; it didn't show its face until mid-afternoon and even then it was a very short and half-hearted effort. Unlike today - wall to wall sunshine and not a cloud in sight. A good start to the new month.
Yesterday's SM delivery arrived and was all put away in record time even though it was a fairly large (for me) order. I had to remind myself that it's for a whole month; the new regime of one delivery a month seems to be working well so far. Only two things went in the freezer - choc ices and a box of ice cream cones - although I do have some other things that need to go in today once they've been portioned up. I hope it all fits in!
Other than playing freezer jigging, I'm not sure what I'll do today; there are a million and one things I could do but they can wait. I'd rather be outside enjoying the sunshine while it's here so a walk could be on the cards. I didn't cook the gammon yesterday either so tea for tonight and tomorrow will have to be swapped round which means today's meal will be a h/m salmon fishcake in a bun with side salad.
@dp1 - Oh dear, I hope that bandage helps and yes, do take it off at night as instructed.
@Gers - Safe journey home, I hope the sun is there to greet you!
@AA - Happy jollies, drive safely.
@TA - Have a good lunch day.
@Ruby - Glad you enjoyed the lambing farm yesterday; today's walk and picnic should be good too.
@Rosy - Fingers crossed DH's physio today goes well.
@-taff - I like to be on time for appointments but that early?!!
Right, the freezer is calling so I'll wish you all a good day. Take care, stay safe and look after yourselves. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Morning
Pleasant sunshine and a gentle breeze, perfect weather for me.
Today is my dgd's 24th birthday. He really did make an April fool of us as he wasn't due until June 12tth. He weighed 2lbs 12ozs but luckily was a little fighter and came home 7 weeks later. Today he has his own small gardening business and is doing so well, thanks to the dedication of the NICU, one of whom still keeps in touch.
Usual chores to do today, bbq chicken, coleslaw and garlic bread for dinner.
AA enjoy your break
Gers safe travels.
Have a good day hugs to all who need them. Take care.11 -

Hi all and thanks for the start @Gers. Have a safe journey home x
Lovely and sunny here but a bit nippy at times. We have been to the community kitchen garden and done a few jobs. Brought back a lettuce (for mum) and a Pak Choi which will be used tonight and tomorrow for dinner as it’s huge.Off to see mum this afternoon to yet again ring up about a card fraud someone has run up in her name. The letters keep coming so I need to check they have definitely raised an alert their end.Dinner is tuna pasta bake with Pak choi 🥬 Will also sort my hiking rucksack this afternoon.Have a good trip @AlwaysAllie - we loved the Highlands and I want to go back with DH one day.Have a good afternoon all
