I have received an unpaid Parking Charge from DCBL Ltd for £180
I pulled over behind some flats for 3 seconds to take an emergency call form my elderly Mother before going into an underground parking area that services Marks and Spencers in Walton ON Thames. Any ideas on how I can appeal this please. Should I respond to the bailiffs who keep calling me or UK parking Control Ltd
Thanks in advance

Usually it would be for £170 , not £180
Too late to appeal to UKPC if DCBL sent a powerless debt collectors letter to you, the appeal window closed a long time ago
Missing paperwork is usually caused due to moving and not updating the V5c promptly, with the dvla, get your V5c log book out and check that its up to date, ditto with your driving licence too
No bailiffs are involved because there has been no court case or a CCJ
Study post 4 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum, about ignoring debt collectors2 -
UKPC signs in general are terrible.
You need to look at where the signs are located, can they be seen easily, can you actually read them without binoculars
If you can, take pictures. There is no such thing as a £180 parking ticket, UKPC has added a fake £80 and the debt collectors will carry on with the fake
This is why UKPC end up in the DCBL DISCONTINUATION thread

Once you have checked your V5C - if you find that the address is in fact wrong, you should send a Data Rectification Notice (DRN) to the DPO at UKPC and instruct them to update their records with your current address for service and to erase any previous address they hold for you. The highlighted words are there for a reason and you should use them.Whilst it's somewhat promising that the useless debt collector is writing to you at your correct address, it shouldn't be assumed that the parking company wouldn't try their luck at getting a default judgement by using your old address for a court claim.4

Not £180. Must be a typo. It's £170. That letter is shown in the 4th post of NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST. Did you miss it?
No bailiffs are calling you.
Anyway you clearly don't pay it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Apologies for posting on the wrong thread - I an new to all of this (no excuse i know! Yes the fine is £170.00 and now I have the Letter of Claim. Ignore this too? I have appealed as the signs are covered with overgrown weeds plus I was not parked etc but my appeal was declined. Too late to appeal to POPLA also0
