Can someone please help with this!
Im in the process of buying my housing association home through right to acquire.
House has been valued at 98k, discount 9k so total is 89k however they are saying I need to purchase the solar panels on the roof at an additional cost of £4770 so this brings the total to £93770.
My issue is i do not want them, im getting the loft done out so want them off the roof. My housing Association does not actually own these any more and have sold them to peterborough council which is no where near when I live in the north east of england!
does anyone know where I stand with this? once I arrange a solicitor i’ll be asking them this but if anyone can give me some advice i would be extremely grateful.
The £4770 price apparently is their estimated cost of loss they will loose if I buy them from them, but how can they charge on an estimate?
any help or advice would be appreciated thank you

Just tell them that you do not want the panels and see how they respond.0
