Morning all! Sunny today, it's makes such a difference and I hope I remember that when Im tempted to complain it's too hot
We went to the wi uiz last night and came third, toal shocker, we were awful at some of the rounds. The fish and chips were welcome though as the company was too. I'm one missing my mother today [ to be truthful, I think about her most days anyway] . I've kind of got my own little corner of remembrance going on [ as they do in Italy] all member sof the family who have passed are on display in photos. I usd to hate it, but can see the value in it now..same with a lot fo things like that I expect, age changes your perspective. Going over to OHs mums after, she made a cake this week and wanted to bring it round yesterday but we were busy, so it's better we go over today [ I had to point out to OH it was mothers day...] and then we're going to the cinema later on to watch Novocaine...and I have to stop off at the allotmnt to fetch my glasses that I left on the bench there.
Nanny you go ahead and moan if you want to, sometimes life is rubbish and a good moan will help. Obviously, don't if it won't though! But never worry about being too moany. it's not possible. Gers, sounds like you're triply on the ball with the getting rid of things..an attitude I would like to steal if I mayHappy mothers day in memories or in actuality or treating yourselves if your children are too stupid to know what they're missing

Happy Mothers day to all wether you see family or not. All mums deserve a shout out.
I lost mine when I was a youngster but still think of her and my step mum often.
DD here later with DGC for roast, think it's a first having her here on mothers day since she moved up here last year.
I cracked one of my back teeth yesterday so will need to find a dentist accepting patients next week, they are in very short supply here, wish me luck!
Hugs to all who want them

Hi all
Can’t remember if posted yesterday 🙄
Anyway today has already been dog walking and trip in the loft. Some chores and lawn mowing to come interspersed with cooking an Ecuadorean chicken dish - this is the next in our ‘choose a country and cook a meal’ quest - DMs choice of course. It looks quite simple but you make the sauce by blending all the raw ingredients - peppers, spices, onions etc then cook the chicken in it.Have a lovely day all whatever your relationships

Hello everyone
Sorry I seem to have missed a couple of days. It is lovely and sunny here today, but there's still a cool breeze - the forecast is good for the next week.
I have lots of tidying up to do in the garden, but it's going to have to wait, as I think kneeling in the garden pulling out weeds on Monday is what set my knee off hurting again. It was very painful when I walked down to mam and dads this morning but strangely not so bad coming back up. I'm trying to walk as little as possible for the rest of today - the only way I can describe it is like toothache in my knee!
Little one stayed for a sleepover on Friday night, which was lovely - we spent a lovely day yesterday playing and reading and she made a couple of birthday cards and a 'granny day' card for me which was covered in sparkly sequins.
This morning I've been down to mam and dads and done various jobs on my laptop for them - I took mam some lovely roses I got in Lidl - I had a card and gifts from youngest DD and a card from eldest in Germany.
Right best get on, I hope everyone has a good day
Oh Red Ruby, I was reading about Albania as eldest DD is thinking of going, it's meant to be a good time to go before it gets too touristy and more expensive x9 -
Afternoon all,If you celebrate Mothers Day hope you have a good day - Camelot I told the DSons not to buy this year as things are a bit tight for them both. DS2 rang earlier with good wishes,he may call later but DGD is poorly and he has to take her to a centre to be checked after ringing 111.DS1 printed out one of our favourite photos of our beloved pooch & put it in a nice frame. Some of the flower prices in the sm yesterday were very high!Got a chicken to roast for later. DH and I went for a nice walk, he seems to be walking a lot better now and is hoping to be signed off from the physio this week.We had an ice cream in the park, met someone we know & stopped for a chat. It's really windy here but nice and sunny.Thinking of those who are poorly or sad, take care.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
