When do you start to feed your shrubs etc., how often, and with what? I'm reluctant to try blood, fish & bone due to the foxes.

I use a diluted seaweed feed and I started this weekend but I don’t have many foxes around me.1

I don’t really feed anything. Perhaps some homemade compost as a mulch but more to keep the water in the soil.2

Now is a good time.
I used bonemeal earlier in the year. Try to rub it in to the soil rather than leave it on the top.
Blood, fish and bone would be a good organic choice for use in April. Or use growmore1 -
Yes, Growmore works out a lot cheaper than Miracle Gro0

Chickens - Foxes????Maybe not.One way to find out.You can do a liquid feed of Tomato fertiliser too but it's easier to sprinkle something. When - I tend to do it when things start bursting into leaf to support the new growth. That was early for us down south this year.A good idea to do it when rain is forcast so it gets washed into the soil.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
