When do you start to feed your shrubs etc., how often, and with what? I'm reluctant to try blood, fish & bone due to the foxes.

I use a diluted seaweed feed and I started this weekend but I don’t have many foxes around me.

I don’t really feed anything. Perhaps some homemade compost as a mulch but more to keep the water in the soil.

    Now is a good time.

I used bonemeal earlier in the year. Try to rub it in to the soil rather than leave it on the top.

Blood, fish and bone would be a good organic choice for use in April. Or use growmore

    Chickens - Foxes????
    Maybe not.
    One way to find out.

You can do a liquid feed of Tomato fertiliser too but it's easier to sprinkle something.

When - I tend to do it when things start bursting into leaf to support the new growth. That was early for us down south this year.
A good idea to do it when rain is forcast so it gets washed into the soil.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
