Dear All
I am trying to buy China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) shares but the three online platforms I use say they do not trade shares in the company because they are 'restricted'. I even approached CNOOC directly for advice but just got the unhelpful response 'ask your broker'! Can anybody please suggest a way around this?
Regards

Unusual request, however the Interactive Investors platform permits trades in the company under the ticker you quoted.Black_Monk said:Dear All

They charge 1.5% forex for trades up to £24,999 and sliding scale down thereafter, but you can then retain the investment in the domestic hong kong dollar currency, together with the half yearly dividends thereon. Appears it can be held both in the Sipp and general trading account.0 -
Have you tried WeBull? It appears to be available there.Black_Monk said:Dear All
