Nothing just tired of the amount of intransigence from all the other parties involved, I’ve tried EGGROUP and they sent me similar info as Starbucks gave, read the signs, read the t’s and c’s, basically no help. So here goes Plan B, one thing I might send them is this Google image, because it’s exactly what I was confronted with
a full McD’s CP + this parking notice  1 hour
    I was there 50 minutes apparently ?
I’ve cropped them but there straight off maps and 7 years old - but they illustrate the scenario,
so no parking there so I park down the road thinking it’s the same CP, I’m not getting it? How do you get a PCN for doing what I’ve done half my life when parking in a retail area.

We agree and (as you saw already) so does Joe Lycett who exposed this scam at Southgate Park a few years ago:

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5i_RcNM4SM0

    It's a 'cash cow site'.

Not that the DVLA bothers to collect site Postcodes so unhelpfully, they and the Government have no idea which sites are churning out inordinate amounts of PCNs compared to other locations which might be managed more fairly. Something that the MHCLG must collect in future, is SPECIFIC site postcode PCN issuance data or the 'scrutiny' will fail.

The keeper appeals NOT SAYING WHO WAS DRIVING, using the method on the back of the PCN then later, the keeper copies a very recent Stansted MET POPLA appeal that includes the POPLA Code for the case they got wrong (already written for you; on threads that have been there/done their POPLA appeals in February).

    Appeal Sent,
    Game on …

A response will be sent to you within 28 days from the date that the appeal was received.

We will however endeavour to respond to your appeal within 14 days but this may not always be possible.

If you have not received a response to your appeal after 28 days then please e-mail us to check the status of your appeal at customer.services@metparking.com

Any correspondence and decisions from the Appeals Department will be in writing and may be emailed or posted using the contact details you have provided. If you have provided a valid e-mail address with your appeal, the appeal response will normally be sent to the e-mail address provided. Please ensure that you check your junk mail in case the appeal response is diverted there. We recommend that you add our email address customer.services@metparking.com to your safe senders list to ensure delivery.

Please note, if you have submitted your appeal during the discount period, the value of the charge will be placed on hold while your appeal is considered. If your appeal is refused you will have the right to pay the charge at the discounted rate for a further 14 days following the appeal decision being given.

What happens next WS ? which is pretty much as I have stated above !

Would you believe it! Just received this email from EG.GROUP

    heather.christie@eg.group

Thank you for reaching out to us, I'm sorry to hear you have received a parking charge at our Stansted Starbucks site.

The signs around the car park advise motorists of the terms and conditions for using the car park and if you have followed these terms but still received a parking charge then you need to follow the appeals procedure shown on the parking charge. If you need additional assistance MET Parking’s customer service team can be contacted by email atcs@metparking.com.

As a reminder the terms for using the car park are:

    • There is a parking tariff to park in the car park, however, there is a free stay period in the car park for Starbucks customers who make a purchase in our store.
    • This free stay period only applies while the store is open and while the occupants of the car remain in the store or the car park.
    • All customers must register their vehicle on arrival on the iPad in the store to qualify for the free stay.
    • The current free stay period for vehicles registered on the iPad in the store is 1 hour from arrival in the car park.
    • If Starbucks is closed, or if you were not a customer, or if you left your car in the car park and walked out of the car park,  then you must have paid for parking following the instructions on the signs around the car park.
    • If you parked in a disabled bay, you must have displayed a valid disabled badge in your windscreen.

Please ensure all further correspondence is directed to MET Parking using the information on the parking charge or by emailing their customer services team at the above email address, and accept our apologies that we cannot help you further on this matter.

    Many thanks,

    Heather

This firm eg.group actually run some Starbucks up and down the country, in fact I discovered an email where they were congratulated for intervening on a parking dispute not unlike the South Gate park Stansted (Starbucks) - so on the one hand they can intervene but not if MET parking are involved.

The basis of my appeal is that I was told to use McDonalds car park at Stanstead
basically so I could wait for a relatives arrival. My wife had done this on several occasions with no problem. I enclose 2 google photos which pretty much illustrates what I say on the day. 1. The sign saying 1 hours free parking (McDonalds) so I’m in the right place, never been here before. 2. The car park was full, but I could see there were spaces further down the road from where I entered. I parked up! I considered buying some food from McD’s but the wireless was playing up on my phone, I decided to go over to McD’s - again took a while to get my order sorted via app on phone.
Received call from relative and left. Starbucks significance didn’t even register but MET have sent me 45 signs with Starbucks on! They want a Starbucks receipt because apparently I’d parked in an SB car park !!!!!!?
so I have 14 days ? Do I get evidence for McD’s ? This is absurd.
