Hello all, just wanted to pop in to say I'm still alive, just. I didn't have a great appointment with my GP a few weeks ago as lots of problems popped up in my blood works. Consequently I've been busy with more health appointments and not posting because no one needs me to be moaning all the time.
Yesterday I had a lovely visit from DD, the DGC and Jasper the dog with my Mother's Day card and present as today we're going to Devon for a break, which we both desperately need. Everything is ready to go we just have to finish packing the car. It's sunny today so I hope it stays that way for a bit.
Take care all, hope everyone is well. Look after yourselves and hugs to anyone in need.
nan xx

Morning all
Lovely bright sunny day here I have the back doors open to let some fresh air in, OH has his work clothes in the wm which can be hung out once it’s finished I also want to wash the sofa throws.
I need to pop to M&S today to get my mum something for Mother’s Day I will see if they have a nice plant as she doesn’t really like fresh flowers she thinks it’s sad when they die bless her.
DD is off this weekend so we are going to plan a holiday for the two of us, OH will stay home and look after the puppers he and I have our holiday in September, dd and I are thinking of Albania which is called the Maldives of Europe it’s meant to be beautiful and still fairly cheap as tourism has not really taken off there yet.
We had a cheeky takeaway curry last night so will have the gammon egg and chips tonight, OH’s turn to cook, I must get the meat out for tomorrow too.
Nan nice to see you posting I’m sorry the GP appointment didn’t go too well, enjoy your break away xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Hi everyone,
We're on the Wirral for the weekend to celebrate Steve's oldest friend's 70th, they've been friends for 67 years. We're staying in Steve's sister's house but she isn't here, she's visiting relatives in Florida.
Poor Esben woke up feeling ill yesterday, he has tonsillitis and his temperature went through the roof. He's a child that can be fine one moment and then completely banjaxed the next.
I hope everyone's plans for the weekend go well.12 -
Back from my breakfast - it was so huge that I've brought half of it home for later. Eyes bigger than belly! I handed over the unwanted stuff, the very nice man gave me a box of shortbread in exchange which I'll pass on to someone else. Now it's pouring down outside and a bit on the chilly side so I've lit the wood burner just to take the edge off.SO lovely to see you posting again @Nan - and don't worry about your moaning, we all do it. There's lots of emotional support here from everyone and we have missed you. Hope that your Devon break can refresh you both.@Ruby - have a good time researching a holiday. I've never considered Albania before so will go and do some idle looking.Enjoy the Wirral @Snoozer. Poor Esben indeed, he does seem to be a fly-catcher for all the roaming viruses. I hope he gets better soon.Lovely that your little one did the day at school @DP1, long may it continue.I'm avoiding looking at the insides of my windows @NRA - I need someone to climb onto the very wide window ledges so that won't be me. There used to be a chap who did it though I think he's retired by now.9
