Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's a lovely morning here. It's so good to see the sun after all the rain and gloom of winter. I'm wondering if I dare pack my two warmest coats away, or is it too soon?
There's not much going on here about from tidying, but I'll find something to do, a bit of shopping's needed and I would like to tidy up the front garden and wash the path, it's a bit muddy in places.
Hope everyone has a good day, hugs to those that need them.
Take care folks13 -
Morning allLooks lovely and sunny outside but feels a bit chilly and according to the weather forecast it's going to be blustery today too.DS is popping in this morning as he won't be able to come tomorrow. He'll be pleased as there are Twinks in the freezer for him that I made a while back. Breadmaker is coming out today to make a fruit loaf which I love toasted for breakfast. Apart from that a quiet day for me.Take care all x12

Morning again - the day is not looking promising of much more than rain and cloud. I'm holding onto the forecasted better weather from tomorrow on. Yesterday I dithered between warm coat (@Scarlet) and rain coat. Rain coat won out!My nail appointment went well, the young woman was getting excited about her trip which she starts in May. Her last day is 01 May so I'm booked in then for the soak off.The lunch I had planned was a huge disappointment. Last Saturday I bought a packet of wild garlic and pork sausages from W*rose - they smelt so delicious I was really looking forward to them. They turned out to be dry and gristly, I couldn't eat even one. Took my own advice and binned them. I only bought them because my favourites - pork with caramelise red onion - were out of stock. Never again!Once more I spent a long time on the phone to my nephew, this time we were both searching for flights for him and his family to go to Australia at Christmas. We both have Emirate miles but not enough to make a difference. I have 95,000 but it would cost over £2k to transfer them to him, that makes it pointless as a saving money tactic. This morning I'm going for some breakfast during which I'm meeting a chap from further up the road who is collecting my unwanted Fire stick and phone charging cables. I'll be glad to hand them over, more things gone from my house. After that, who knows. I'll take it all as it comes. There's some programmes I want to catch up on so, if the weather doesn't turn inviting, I'll be slobbing.Enjoy your weekend at the caravan @TA.Hugs to all our poorlies and sads - and to anyone else who could use one, I have plenty going spare.10

Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
The walk on Thursday was good, the sun was shining and it was lovely and warm, very different from the cold miserable day yesterday.
Need to cut the lawn, can't believe it's the third time already this year.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.12 -
Morning all, thanks @Gers for the start. Today's weather is looking promising with sunny intervals and highs of around 12 deg, perhaps a bit of drizzle this evening. After that we could be in for a good stretch of fine weather.
Apart from the usual Friday admin and sending a SM order for delivery on Monday, I honestly can't remember what else I did yesterday. Probably just faffing around with odd jobs. No definite plans for today either although I'm sure I'll find something to do. Tea tonight is a prawn korma with rice and I've taken a tub of chicken casserole out of the freezer for tomorrow's dinner.
Take care and have a good weekend. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.12 -
Morning All
It's fairly bright this morning but rain is forecast for later so I'll get the shopping done and visit the allotment to see how everyone is getting on.
When I got home from work yesterday I gutted the living room so that's all sparkly - just the rest of the house to do now!
I'm out tonight with a pal to an interactive murder mystery play in Glasgow, not really my thing but she wanted to go. We're eating out before we go which I am looking forward to!
Enjoy your breakfast Gers. Shame about the sausages.
I keep wondering if I should wash the winter coats and put them away Scarlet but I'll hold off just yet.
Hope your craft fair goes well Allie.
Hope you and Mr Fix It are ok Nanny.
Hope Rob gets his haircut Ruby, you're so good to him.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good weekend. Take care. XX

Morning all from sunny Mehefinland
We had a violent hailstorm yesterday afternoon which took everyone by surprise!! All of 5 minutes but gosh did it rain with it. It has put the plans for the Great Wall of Mehefin repair on hold for a while until everything dries out again! The garden did need it though so I'm not complaining ( really).
My pallet garden took its first casualty yesterday after an enthusiastic helper pushed a bit too hard with their trowel and the support plank came off!! A repair will be done later - not particularly difficult, just a bid fiddly to get at now the thing is fixed to the wall. The old knees protest a bit on low work.
Showman had his physio yesterday and the comment was made that he was getting a bit portly. Have to try to cut his food back a bit, and get someone to ride him. He's an expensive field ornament at the moment.
Ordered a load of plants/bulbs etc for the front garden which are apparently on their way. Hope they come soon as I don't like seeing great expanses of bare soil - it gives the weeds something to aim forLoads of seeds sown in the greenhouse, but nothing showing yet - it has been a bit chilly so just have to wait a bit.
Council has appointed a new clerk - she is coming to me next week so I can start the hand over process and get the necessary paperwork under way. She officially starts at the end of April so I will be doing the role a bit longer. I don't mind as it does take my thoughts away from other things on the whole. Although, I was clearing old photos off my phone the other day and came across one of Dawn at the hospital ( Lord knows why I took it!) and I got really upset. I suppose it was the last picture I had of her - she looked thoroughly fed up!
Right, its no good wasting this sunshine so I will wish all the poodles wellness, and hugs and spoons as always to the rest of you lovely lot.
Mehefin aka Derek

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
I've been AWOL as the new job is quite busy - which is not a bad thing and the days fly by. Am so glad I chose to only work 3 days though as need the down time. We are taking Mum for lunch today at a GC for Mother's Day, then out for dinner tonight with DSis and BIL for the menfolk's birthdays (stopped doing gifts this year).
Have you started at the charity shop yet @IzzyBee? Don't blame you wanting to keep busy but good to have the foodbank and CS on the same day. Sounds like your DH is being more sociable too?
Mmmmm rum @taff - my absolute favourite.
Enjoy your weekend at the van @TravellingAbuela x
Hope the craft fayre goes well @AlwaysAllie x
Glad there is a new Council Clerk starting @mehefin. I was interested in the pallets you planted up. Did you have to sand them down to avoid splinters? DH is a school caretaker and I'm wondering if he can do something similar for the playground to brighten it up.
Have a good day everyone
