Switch from Chase failed due to *incorrect" debit card details

I am trying to switch my second/not main Chase current account to Lloyds for the switch bonus and have received a message from Chase:
Hi. Unfortunately we've not been able to complete your switch to LLOYDS BANK PLC. You didn't give the correct card details to LLOYDS BANK PLC, so please check and try again
I have tried again and received the same message. The Lloyds switch form asks for the last five digits of the Chase debit card and the expiry which I have obtained from the Chase app. I am at a loss as to how the card details can be incorrect.
Has anyone had any issue such as this with Chase? In the Lloyds switch form there is no option for "I do not have a debit card" so I am not able to try that way.

Interesting, I've just started a switch from Chase to another bank.
I wonder if it's because Chase use online card details only - as I understand it this means that for payments when you aren't inputting the card number manually (e.g. tap and pay) a different card number is generated for each transaction. Perhaps the same applies to direct debits? Try the Chase support function in the app - they can take a little while to get back to you, but normally quite helpful.0 -
With Chase (as I recall) you don't get a Debit Card for a secondary account so if you are giving the card details for the primary but the sort code/account number of the secondary then it is not going to go through.
I have transferred a Chase secondary before but can't remember if I had the 'no debit card option'1 -
See this thread from last year - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6511932/switching-to-lloyds
Do you have 3 active DD's on your Chase secondary account to qualify?1 -
Thanks for that, it would not have occurred to me to try this suggestion:
"You just change the card in the Chase app to be spent from that account and then put in your Chase debit card number. It will automatically revert to spending from your other account once it closes."
I'll do that and see what happens.
I have three 30p direct debits already paid out from the donor Chase account.0 -
