local housing allowance

Hi all. me again with another query! have been trying to use a benefit calculator to check what we may get after migrating to UC. was told by entitled to website that local housing allowance does not apply as we have been renting since 2007, however we did move during that time to present address in2017 and still claiming, would that then count as a new claim or just a continuation but with new address? so confused by all this, income support was so much easier to deal with than this UC nonsense!!

LHA will apply, (assuming you’re privately renting) as it does now because you moved house in 2017 and that would have been a break in your claim.
