Someone changing my business profile by clicking "suggest edit"

I regularly check my business profile on Google to make sure it is accurate. A couple of weeks ago I noticed my business telephone number had been changed and today the address of the business had been changed. I also had an email saying that someone called Kelly had put in a request as they are the owner and did I approve of this request. My profile is verified which is why I got the email but I'm wondering how I can get the data fixed so that it cannot be changed. Is it possible?

You just change it back. They may want to send you a code by post to verify, or ask you for other evidence.

Anyone can request changes to a business, some people have enough credibility within the system that changes go through immediately, others ask for multiple verifications by other users, some will get bounced back to the owner to approve etc.
