First Direct app on Android fails every few months, needs reinstalling

Just to answer your Apple question, I have it on an iPad and it's rock solid.
I think if the problem was common we'd have already seen lots of threads about it so it's something odd about your phone or configuration. No idea how to track it down though!

I have to keep doing a force stop maybe every couple of weeks or I get the same thing with First Direct
