Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, the sky is just grey here with lots of rain falling!
Friday again, it's PJ day so my colleague and I have Winnie The Pooh onsies to wear - I got them reduced in Costco. Should raise a laugh at least. It's £1 to join in with the collection going to the Glasgow Children's Hospital so it's for a good cause.
Work was so busy yesterday I lost track of time and finished late, at least I got loads done. Early finish on a Friday so looking forward to that.
Washing on the pulley and will do another load when I get home, that can go on the airer by the fire overnight.
Hoping you are all well, take care. XX11 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers. It's fine here as well.
I started yesterday and said I was coming back - we were out early to go to the Freeman hospital in Newcastle so that Dh could be prepared for his radiotherapy, and didn't get home till after 1 pm.
Had a quick lunch then I went to a nearby shopping centre to pick up dg S 's birthday present which I'd ordered from the toy shop there. I had a quick foray into the big Sains, then home. Totally forgot about coming back here till about 6pm, and thought I might as well leave it until today!
It'll be a quieter day today, though I have various jobs lined up here. I got my summer clothes out and am going through them. Some may go to the cs. I do hope we have a summer this year.
I haven't read back on yesterday, but hope everyone is ok and has a good day today.
Take care folks.12 -
Morning all ,
the quiz yesterday went down reasonably well although some of the usual suspects complained it was hard .
well the solution is to take a turn in setting them !
I was very tired after and went to bed early and slept well .
off to meet a v old friend and two younger ones for lunch ,she will be full of woe as usual leaving the three of us wondering why we bother !
Must start getting ready for my trip away next week
can hear the washing machine has nearly finished so better go and hang it out .
Stay safe all12 -
Morning all..been awol due to OH being home..He usually takes over the computer for pc games in the mornings but was up silly early [ for me] for a change. Today is docs fo a lung test, make up some metal arches for the allotment, potentially go to the allotment shop and see what it's all about and maybe get a nice bottle of rum for later on..I'm not a fan of rum and a mixer, I like it neat with ice so it has to taste nice. Other than that, not a lot today. Book a tip run, move some stuff, that kind of thing..Ruby, good to hear Rob is doing well, it must be nice to be cared for in his 'home' regularly for a change. dp1, litle one is coping well considering all he ups and dows she's had. good news about your knee. Izzy, you finding extra things to do aleady?
blummin cheek too about the sunday dinner..get them in early to prepare the veg and stuff
I love dumplings too...Take care all, hope the MIA are doing ok

Good morning
Sunny start here but before I got up I could hear it was raining.
Yesterday was like a summer's day, t-shirt weather. DH decided to go to the pharmacy to collect his meds, now a trip of 6 miles instead of 1.5, due to the road closure. I couldn't believe that on that journey there was 3 sets of temporary traffic lights and lane closures. I hope the gas works are worth it. Anyway while out I popped into Lids and did my monthly3stock up, so a journey saved. Will spend today finding homes for everything.
Dinner tonight will probably be sea bass for DH, I'll find something in the freezer.
Have a good Friday all, I can't believe how quick the weeks are going, I'm sure they didn't go this fast when I was working. Hugs to all who need them. Take care.11 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. A nice start for the day and feels really mild.
Friday Tidy this morning with a dust and vac up, down and all around. Then a tiny bit of packing to do. Not going anywhere exciting just off to the caravan with DD and youngest DGD for the weekend. We can't leave until after school so there is no rush to get organised. A cold night is forecast for tonight so fleecy pj's will be back out again! We are having a little get together tomorrow night for Mother's Day with DD's ex MIL (she nearly lives at her caravan for the entire season!) and a DF of DD who is joining us with her grown up DD and younger DS. DD is taking goodies for a little buffet. No doubt wine will be involved too!
Have a good day if you can folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. DP1, ouch that knee injury sounds painful. Hope you soon start to feel a bit easier with it. Still no news from NAN, I think we are all getting a bit concerned now. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
The bright morning didn't last very long, the rain is back. Yesterday was horrendous, almost like being back in December. The fields are flooded again.I spent far too long trying to sort out a techie problem (yes, did the switch off and on again thing) before realising that the smart plug was disconnected. An easy fix after all! Even had my nephew on video phone having a look. This morning I've got my penultimate nail appointment, next time will be a complete soak-off before the young woman heads off for six months of volunteering work overseas.I hope that all went well yesterday for your OH @ScarletThere's always someone to moan @Suffolksue!Mmmm - rum! @Taff, good to hear from you again.Enjoy your weekend at the caravan @TA - and so many others to share some good times with.I hope that everyone has a good Friday, not too many aches and pains or bad times. Hugs to all.10

Morning everyone it’s bright so that’s something but chilly I’m off to do the food waste volunteering this morning. Taff I’m the same as you I like a rum on its own when we were away we went into Alnwick and we bought a gingerbread rum and a bottle of rum baba that tasted of tiramisu it was delicious I only drink occasionally but that didn’t last long not as long as the holiday. I’ve just seen a bit of blue sky so it should stay dry for us to unload the van . Suffolk sue I have a friend that is always on a downer she can drain the joy out of everything she has a horrible husband but the kids are all grown up and left home I wish she would just leave him and I know it sounds awful but I do all sorts to avoid her but I just can’t bring myself to tell her straight because I feel sorry for her . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all
Raining here and quite chilly the sun is meant to come out at lunch time though.
I am also having my nails done this morning I might go for a French polish this time, I will come home and take the dogs out and then have a rest, OH kept me up till after 2 this morning with his snoring 🙄 I went to bed just after 8 as I was shattered he was
still downstairs and by 8.30 I could hear him, I came down twice to wake him up, eventually he came up to bed and snored his merry way through the night, to say i am tired is an understatement so a nap may be on the cards for later.
Gammon egg and chips for dinner tonight the gammon is cooked and in the fridge so will just need slicing later, and shove some chips in the oven.
Have a good weekend away TA xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning all. Just back from shopping. Everywhere was packed and I think it was payday/Mother's Day that brought them all out. Nothing else planned for today except I bought some plant food for the garden so will probably give the rose bushes etc a feed.Re rum. Don't drink it myself but my DS does so had to bring him back some from Jamaica. He's not opened it yet so don't know what the verdict is there.Have a good day all and {{hugs}} for the poorlies xx9
