I have been looking at the EGG offer for insurance and at £15 for an anual european cover for my partner, myself and our daughter it looks like a bargain. Have looked at what is covered and looks ok but was wondering if any one thought that as its so cheap it might be cr**p!
Any advice welcome please.
Thanks

I took took this out at the end of March when it was first offered.
It`s a genuine offer and is a bargain and is covered by AXA.
The catch is,you put it on your Egg card and next year they hope you forget to cancel at the renewal date and probably rip you off for £80 odd quid.
So take it out but don`t for get to cancel next year and don`t go outside of Europe!0 -
Surely they need to write to you to check that you still want cover the year after?
I hope so, mine is up in my anniversary month and I dont want it mucking that up for me. :eek:Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
Of course they`ll let you know but the following words spring to mind.
Apathy,lethargy,forgetful,lazy, can`t be bothered,I`ll do it tomorrow,I need travel insurance anyway.etc.,etc.0 -
you know what i didnt even think about that they would automatically renew next year and at probably at a much higher premium.
I think we will take it out but just try and remember to cancel it next year.
Thanks everyone for their advice.0 -
£15 for a family does look good! But would it cover a couple without children or would I have to take out a different policy for 2 adults to europe??
thanksSaving money is fun :A0 -
It covers two adults,if you go to the Egg site it gives you the definition of who`s covered0

I took this out for the March offer they ran. Nothing but admin problems. I must have made over 15 calls 6 secure messages. They will not debit my card but I apparently have a policy in operation even though a letter has come saying cancelled as they cannot collect a payment. Nobody calls back It must have cost me around the £15 trying to establish if we are covered or not. Egg customer service is terrible!! AXA says down to egg - egg says down to insurance!!!!0
